Spa & Wellness

Spa & Wellness
A therapist in a white uniform works on a guest lying face down under a blue wrap on a massage table, with candles glowing along the floor behind.

The spa is a small operation and better for it. A treatment room lit by candles at floor level, a timber sauna, and staff who are not rushing you back out.

Treatments

Massage is what most guests book. If you want a treatment for two, ask for it in advance — it is not something to raise on the day.

The sauna is pine-lined, with the bucket and ladle you would hope for. It is a good hour after a day on the water, and a better one after a morning on a quad bike.

The fitness centre

There is a gym on site with cardio equipment and free weights. If keeping a routine while travelling matters to you, it is here.

Making it part of the stay

A treatment lands better when it is not squeezed between two other things. What works for most guests is to arrive, spend a day outside, then take the spa on the afternoon of the second day, once the body has caught up with the fact that it is on holiday.

The Couple’s Escape builds a treatment into the stay. For honeymooners, it is usually paired with dinner away from the restaurant.

Booking

Slots are held against your room booking, so tell us which day you want the spa at the point you tell us your dates.
